I admit I don’t think CC has done a particularly brilliant job of portraying gay characters, but she hasn’t done anything awful, either, and yes.  Alec is my favorite fucking character because when I first read CoB, he was the only one who truly felt real to me, and the only one who seemed to get any genuine character development.

Also, he hasn’t “embraced” his sexuality?  Yeah, he just kissed his boyfriend in front of the entire Clave and outed himself to his parents for the hell of it. *eyeroll*  Being able to come to terms to the fact that you’re gay does not mean you must immediately begin dressing like Magnus.  I love Magnus, but he’s a little bit of a lunatic. xD
